For consumers, no palm oil labels may be easy to understand, but they are not always the whole story. A better question is: where did this oil come from, and how was it produced?
Agriculture is full of crops that can be blessings or burdens depending on management. Palm oil is one of them. The crop itself is not wearing the black hat — but careless systems certainly can.
