In tight labor markets, that matters.
For producers, the practical takeaway is to start thinking about animal data as part of herd management, not as a futuristic add-on. If you are buying collars or tags, ask who owns the data, whether it can be exported, how false alerts are handled, and whether the tool integrates with records you already keep. The best technology should feel less like a robot in the barn and more like a very observant hired hand who never sleeps.
