The system includes 8,234 modules, 27 inverters, and 3.4 megawatts of DC capacity. The appeal is straightforward: less structural steel, simpler installation, and potentially lower-cost power. In a region where farms, water systems, cold storage, and processing facilities all chew through electricity, cheaper solar is no small potatoes.

For agriculture, the interesting piece is not only the electricity — it’s the design. Ground-mounted solar can compete with farmland, stir up zoning fights, and raise questions about maintenance, drainage, vegetation, and soil disturbance.
